DOUBLE YOUR GIFT!! The Capital Building and Endowment Campaign will continue through 2009 and we will be announcing a series of matching Endowment Grants to complete their goal within the year. Currently all donations are being matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000 thanks to a generous matching grant from Paul Fasana and Dr. Robert Graham. Your donation of $1000 will actually be a gift of $2000 to Stonewall Library & Archives; $100 will mean $200 to us, $10 will count as $20, etc. Matching donations of $1000 or more may be spread over the course of 2009, and may be directed to a specific endowment or fund. Contact Jack Rutland, Executive Director of Stonewall Library & Archives for information about Capital Campaign gift opportunities at 954 763-8565.

Stonewall Capital Campaign tops $600,000 As the year ends, the Stonewall Library & Archive’s Capital Building and Endowment Campaign has raised well over half of its one million dollar goal in less than one year. In a campaign year marred by controversial comments by Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jim Naugle, Stonewall received pledges and donations from around the country totaling $624,745.

The Stonewall Library & Archives Foundation launched the Capital Campaign in May with a private reception for longtime supporters where initial donations totaling $135,000 were announced along with a matching grant of $300,000 from the John C. Graves Charitable Fund at the Community Foundation of Broward. In October, the Campaign went public with a ribbon cutting celebration at the new location, where it was announced that the Graves Match had been met, and the goal of raising one half million by 2008 had been exceeded by 25%. The Capital Building and Endowment Campaign will continue through 2008 and we will be announcing a series of matching Endowment Grants to complete their goal within the year. Matching donations may be spread over the course of 2008, and may be directed to a specific endowment or fund.  Read More
