As you can see, our new design is finished, and on-line ahead of schedule.  We are still continuing to work on the new content we have planned.  We are changing all the listings and information that you see, and to conform to our new cleaner, faster-loading, streamlined look.

So what's going to be so different other than the look of the place?  Well, we never intended on becoming a competing media outlet to the local publications we already have.  Marks List and Hotspots are awesome publications, and we highly recommend you use them to find out what's going on around town.  They're both very current, and have much of the local businesses covered. (Though, they don't have them all, these are SPONSOR based publications, we are not!)

So, in rethinking back to our original idea of what GayFLL is, the following will be changing:

  • We will try to list ALL GLBT businesses and organizations in Broward County.
  • We will tell you THE TRUTH about venues, so that you can make an informed decision! We are not bound by sponsorship dollars.
  • We will continue to produce videos for our community's entertainment, just a broader range than we've done in the past.

One thing we can assure you, we won't be "scathing" in our reviews of venues, just honest.  We know everyone has different taste in what kind of venues they like to go to.  You certainly don't want to end up in a bar full of club kids if you're looking for a more upscale venue, and that mistake can easily be made just by a fancy-looking advertisement.

Keeping you posted, and thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dennis

REVIEW: "A Sordid Affair" E-mail

OMG! We got in!
On Saturday morning, November 7, 8:15AM, I got a call from a friend inviting us to see "A Sordid Affair", a sort of variety show, from the creator of Sordid Lives, and Sordid Lives; The Series, Del Shores, which stars numerous cast members from the movie and the series.  When the phone rang, I almost didn't answer because I was still in bed, but I am so glad I picked it up.  The invitation INSTANTLY woke me up faster than gasoline in a coffee pot!  I had totally forgot that the show was on that day, so it really took me for a loop that I was actually going to see it.

"Meet us at Parker Playhouse at 7:30 sharp!", and in my normal fashion, I showed up at 7.  I was really excited to be there, hoping that the show was going to be as top notch as the movie and TV series!  As all my friends started arriving one by one, (there were 7 of us,) the excitement just kept building.  I so loved the movie, and the TV series was such an event here in Fort Lauderdale, every week we all religiously went to watch it at the bars like it was church. I was at least hoping that I could leave with a smile on my face.  I really didn't know what to expect.

So the real question is "Did Del deliver?"  Did I get to see the show that I was so hoping for as a "Sordid fan"?

The simple answer is HELL YES!  But if you keep reading, (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT) you will find out that it was OMFG FUNNY!
