Our new format in business listings is now being finalized.  You can check out the new format on Scandals Saloon's business listing by clicking here!  As you will note, we started a rating system that will eventually be interactive.  As of 2010, we no longer seek out sponsorships as to make these rating as accurate and dependable as possible, and GayFLL will be funded from donations and private funds.

Welcome To Our New Design E-mail
The News - Latest Site News
Sunday, 27 December 2009

As you can see, our new design is finished, and on-line ahead of schedule.  We are still continuing to work on the new content we have planned.  We are changing all the listings and information that you see, and to conform to our new cleaner, faster-loading, streamlined look.

So what's going to be so different other than the look of the place?  Well, we never intended on becoming a competing media outlet to the local publications we already have.  Marks List and Hotspots are awesome publications, and we highly recommend you use them to find out what's going on around town.  They're both very current, and have much of the local businesses covered. (Though, they don't have them all, these are SPONSOR based publications, we are not!)

So, in rethinking back to our original idea of what GayFLL is, the following will be changing:

  • We will try to list ALL GLBT businesses and organizations in Broward County.
  • We will tell you THE TRUTH about venues, so that you can make an informed decision! We are not bound by sponsorship dollars.
  • We will continue to produce videos for our community's entertainment, just a broader range than we've done in the past.

One thing we can assure you, we won't be "scathing" in our reviews of venues, just honest.  We know everyone has different taste in what kind of venues they like to go to.  You certainly don't want to end up in a bar full of club kids if you're looking for a more upscale venue, and that mistake can easily be made just by a fancy-looking advertisement.

Keeping you posted, and thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dennis
