The time has come to say a final farewell to John Hitchcock, the current owner of Cubby Hole for almost 14 years.  There is a party, Sunday, June 28th, at 6PM at the bar!  Not only is this a farewell party, but a ROASTING as well.  If you were any part of this bar's history, you know this will be an AWESOME event to attend, going back to the early days, and making fun of it all.

As if you were living under a rock lately, John and his partner Jay sold the bar, and the new owners will be taking over on Monday. 

And a small personal note: I cannot thank John enough for all the support he, and the Cubby Hole, have given us over the years.  WAY BACK on April 8th, 2000, I started an experiment called "Rainbowlife.com", with a vision of what GayFLL.COM is today. John was the first one in the community to see my vision and support it back then, and has continued all these years to be a part of us and helped us grow, experiment, and succeed.  Happy retirement John, I wish you nothing but the best!

Generally, we here at GayFLL.COM don't write entertainment stories such as this, but this does effect our community.  Back when Sordid Lives- The Series was playing on LOGO last year, every gay bar in town had special nights just for the show.  I went religiously to watch, drink, and hang with new friends!  I LOVED Sordid Lives night at my favorite club.  But now, LOGO refuses to renew the series.  But now, there is HOPE!

The cast and crew of Sordid Lives- The Series have started a MAJOR grass-roots effort into saving the show.  And we're not just talking one or two stars and a camera man, EVERYONE is involved.  It's obvious they know that a good show has been cancelled, and they are pulling together to keep this incredible comedy on TV!

Bears of South Florida held their annual Daddy's Day Pool Party at the Coconut Cove Guesthouse, and GayFLL.COM was there!  This is our first video with the new video editing system, the quality is just UNMATCHED! Check it out!

We just want to set the record straight, direct from the source! As you may have heard, the Cubby Hole has been sold, and it's also been reported in a local rag.  And yet, we are hearing the wildest rumors, including "they're tearing it down".  Here is a direct letter from the current owners, John Hitchcock and Jay Jones:

So there ya have it, the Cubby Hole is NOT going anywhere!  I have met the new owner, been in their previous bar in Vegas numerous times, and they are VERY COOL! Everything is going to be the same.
