Fort Lauderdale – The 32nd anniversary of Pridefest is scheduled for Saturday, and Sunday March 21 & 22, 2009 at the very popular Holiday Park/War Memorial Auditorium. Pridefest is a celebration and tribute to the LGBT community and its unique culture. The weekend-long event includes a special tent and dance floor for your dancing pleasure! with local DJ Miik (Sunday) and DJ J. Roxx (Saturday), Also featured are over 300 vendors, music, food, Games and Florida’s largest Aids Quilt display.

As usual, there will be non-stop entertainment both days, with an outdoor stage highlighted by national recording artist Lori Michaels & The Girls, Shelina, Howard Tonkin, Nelson Polanco, TP Lords and many more surprises! Official Pridefest events will be held at several of the nightclubs and venues in town starting on Friday, March 20 at Living Room Niteclub for the Official Pridefest Opening Party and Saturday March 21 at Sidelines Sports Bar and continuing through Sunday night.

The hours are Noon – 7 p.m. both days, giving our local gay clubs the opportunity to continue celebrating Pride well into the night.

Pride South Florida is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by unpaid volunteers. We aim to produce a highly professional Pride Festival that is not only economically valuable to our community to promote itself as the #1 Gay and Lesbian destination in the U.S.A., but also benefiting South Florida GLBT community organizations: Proceeds from Pridefest are distributed through a grant program each Spring.

Spectrum Touch Kiosk Makes Debut At Cubby Hole Fort Lauderdale, Florida – January 18, 2009 – GayFLL.com, a website dedicated to promoting gay Broward County, debuts it’s first prototype touch screen kiosk at the Cubby Hole bar.

"It brings the business community closer together," says Dennis Jozefowicz, "by allowing sponsors to social network through the kiosk and recommend fellow businesses of their choice to their patrons. Even though all the kiosks are controlled in a central location and have access to all data, every kiosk is customized to the venue."

The kiosk gets it’s data from the information posted at the parent web site, as well as video streaming of sponsors’ commercials. “Instead of relying on people to find information on the Internet, we’re bringing the information to them, in the places they go, on the go. And introducing video as a viable advertising option makes it that much more powerful.” GayFLL.com also offers a cell phone friendly service allowing patrons to find bar specials of the day, the first of a series of new technologies and unique promotional avenues.

The kiosk can be seen at the Cubby Hole, 823 N. Federal Highway, in Fort Lauderdale starting on January 18, 2009. (It is next to the ATM machine.) Appointments for a walk-through demonstration can be made by contacting Dennis. Appointments are available Thursdays through Saturdays until February 14.

Dennis Jozefowicz is the creator of GayFLL.com, which also is home to GayFLL Magazine, a video show that covers events around town, as well as a nightlife gallery and information database.
