LADDERS
SFTC offers both a Singles and Doubles ladder. The ladder is divided into a Spring Season and Fall Season.
Each ladder is divided by player skill level (USTA 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5). Most matches are within the player’s skill level but additional matches may be played with individuals in both higher and lower skill divisions. The winner and runner-up of each division will receive an award at the SFTC Annual Party or SFTC Summer Party.
In 2008, SFTC reformatted the ladders to offer more playing opportunities and additional time to schedule matches. Each month you'll have two "scheduled" challenge matches and you can schedule two additional matches. All matches generally must be completed before the 25th of each month.
Players receive points for each match played. The amount of points earned depends on the match results (win-lose and percentage of games won).
Players climb the ladder by accumulating points through their match results.
This is a great competitive tennis activity and provides opportunity to meet players with the SFTC organization.
Each ladder has a fee of $15 per season (aprox. 6 months).

TEAM TENNIS
Team Tennis is one of the most enjoyable activities in our club. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet members and socialize on the court while participating in a competitive tennis environment.
We have 2 seasons a year (Spring and Fall). Each season last approximately 6 to 10 weeks depending on the number of teams.
Each week your team will compete against another team. Both team records and individual records are maintained to track performance. At our semi-annual membership parties awards are given based upon team results and individual results.
Our club maintains two formats for team tennis. Our newest format introduced in Spring 2008 is a doubles only competition with 3 players (of similar skill level) per team competing in 2 sets of doubles each week. We also have a singles/doubles format with 3 players (A,B,C) competing in both singles and doubles each week. The utilized format is based upon location, court costs and club interests.
This is a very fun and relaxed activity that many of our members enjoy a lot.
The entry fee for Team Tennis is set before each season based upon the format (usually $25 - $50 per season).
