Innovation We've started "Alpha-Testing" a new exciting feature that's coming soon to GayFLL Magazine, it's called GayFLL-2-Go, and it's much more than what the name implies. This exciting new concept is a first in the gay community, and will revolutionize the way we, as a community, find information, which is not only Operating System independent, but is also DEVICE independent. Keep reading, and you might wanna consider pulling out the manuals to your smart devices. And if you think this will sound all Greek to you, there's a "layman's description" of what this all means to the "average user".
The concept of GayFLL-2-Go is for people to get the information they want, when they want it, in a non-invasive, standards-driven format. Using the concepts of readily available and popular information sharing formats, our first feature will be the "base" of all that is to come. Any information-based electronic device hooked to the Internet will be able to access this information, all day, every day, with the information updated live.
We started developing this concept since our community is so technology driven, and yet, nobody is really fully utilizing it. Whether its because of the community just can't find it, or that companies don't know how to use it. It's all about to change.
So what does this mean to the public?
Scenario 1: You and a bunch of friends are riding around in the car looking for something to do. You pull out your smart-phone, Ipod, PDA, whatever smart gadget you carry, and you already have the calender of regular events to every establishment in town at your fingertips. Cheap drinks, dancing, country to cabaret, find it all, in alphabetical order. "So guys, what are you in the mood for?" You'll already have the answer.
Scenario 2: You have Apple TV, or another new "Internet-TV" device. "Honey, there's nothing on TV tonight, lets go out." With a click of a remote, you have everything that's going on tonight, right on your TV screen. Dinner, drinks, social events, and more.
Scenario 3: You're sitting at your computer. (It doesn't matter what kind of computer it is!) You're researching events in the non-profit sector. Without opening an email, or web browser, you ALREADY have the info.
We could go on and on, but this is just the start of GayFLL-2-Go. Keep watching.
