Event Coverage Rules Print E-mail
Thursday, 24 April 2008

GayFLL Magazine will be proud to cover your Broward Country GLBT event. But in an effort to make it easier for everyone, these guidelines and rules have been posted. This information is subject to change without notice.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The event MUST be in Broward County, FL.
  • If the event is NOT free to the public, admission must be given to the videographer and one assistant free of charge, and all access granted. Arrangements must be made ahead of time.
  • In certain instances, if the event is NOT an open venue, a sign must be posted notifying guests of your event that video taping is in progress.
  • There should be no objection to the distribution of GayFLL Magazine materials. (Generally, just a business card to those featured in a video, but in some cases, a flier may be available for distribution.)

GUIDELINES:

  • All decisions of choosing events to cover is under the sole discretion of GayFLL Magazine. Major community events get top priority.
  • In the event that two or more events are on the same day, the following guidelines apply:
  1. Paid Advertisers in good standing get priority over non-advertisers.
  2. In the event that two or more advertisers submit an event, the event submitted first gets priority.
  3. In the event that two or more non-advertisers submit an event, the event submitted first gets priority.

In an attempt to explain what we consider for content, it's easier to explain what we won't cover:

  • Nude Events- We don't allow nudity on our web site.
  • Personal Events- Unless there is someone of community interest at your personal event that we would have full access to, we do not cover private/personal parties/events.
  • Political/Newsworthy- We are an entertainment magazine. Though, we are looking into the possibility of doing a news segment in the future.
  • "Gloating" Events- Unless you are an advertiser with GayFLL Magazine, we will not cover events that are the sole purpose of promoting a business.
  • Interviews- Though we experiment now and then, we generally do NOT do interviews. It's a formula that works for us. But of course, we wouldn't pass up any celebs!
